Campus ministry through Chi Alpha is one of the flourishing ministries of FARM,Inc. BSM Batch 24 had an early start in their ministry exposures at FARM by conducting classes at Don Ynocencio A. Del Rosario National High School. The one hour classes every Wednesday are called STUDENT LIFE ENRICHMENT CLASSES. Each class session is composed of two-parts: Part 1- Smart Student Life Skills and Part 2 – Godly Life Skills for the Modern Day Culture.
Pastor Rey Calusay arrived back from attending Hillsong Conference in Australia with three books, three important Bible study tools.
The BSM men take opposite sides of a given question and engaged in a discussion. The activity was intended to give them practice on being deliberate in taking the positive roles in participating in a discussion. The ladies listened and identified the roles each participant played: Initiator, information-giver, harmonizer or clarifier. There were some who were identified to have played the negative roles of antagonizer and dominator. But for sure, they did it for fun.
In BSM, students learn the value of tests. They understand that a test is designed to measure learning. Hence, a test question calls for something a student must do to prove his learning. To answer a test question correctly, they have to identify the ‘action’ called for them to do. This is what these pictures are all about.
One more time , FARM welcomes another batch of Berean students . The 25 students who are now Batch 24 came all the way from Aklan, Iloilo, Antique, Bacolod, Cebu, Caloocan, Cavite, Albay, Compustela Valley, Eastern Samar, Iligan City, Tacloban City, Bohol and even as far as the island of the “Lateen Sails”- Guam. Students take a moment of break from their class in Philosophy of Ministry to smile at the camera. Philosophy of Ministry is one course unique to the BSM curriculum. The course is taught by BSM Director Rev. Rey Calusay.
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Description: A biblical and devotional study of a God-centered ministry, its foundation, motivation and philosophy. Believing that outlook determines outcome, this course is about a biblical way of looking at things that will affect the way people do things, especially in the ministry.
Purpose: To walk the student through the eight major ministry principles affecting his/her service to God, and to help each student formulate his own personal ministry-philosophy and life-convictions which are essential to the practice of ministry.
`The end is better than the beginning’ is one of the popular Berean lines. Students’ initial knowledge and learning capacities are measured at the beginning of the school year to help mentors plan teaching strategies. Rev. Jireh Calusay is the examiner.
