SYSTEMS IN AN ONLINE TRAINING PROGRAM
How is BSM Online compared to the in-person training program? We are not deviating from our fundamental purpose and philosophy of training as a ministerial school. Because of our philosophy of training, we seek to have interactive and engaging classes by maximizing the use of technology and a workable platform for virtual learning. With determination and creativity we have designed systems to enable us to cause the students fulfill the academic and non-academic activities that we have spelled out for their training. Here are some of these systems.

MAKING ATTENDANCE IN AN ONLINE CLASS WORTHWHILE
These few moments were captured from Max Learning Class, BEREAN Online course with Ma’am Zeny Calusay. She emphasized that every time students attend a class session, a learning, a change should take place in their knowledge, understanding, attitude, skill or behavior. That is what will make the time spent attending a class worth it.
BSM ONLINE SY 2022-2023 KICKS OFF WITH TWO CORE COURSES
BSM ONLINE SY 2022-2023 starts with two core courses; namely “Wisdom from Above” (Philosophy of Ministry) with Rev. Rey Calusay and “MAX Learning” (Effective Study Skills) with Rev. Zeny Calusay. The lessons in these two core courses when applied will help the students maximize their benefit from the other courses in the entire training program.

GETTING READY FOR BEREAN ONLINE CLASSES
Berean School of Ministry is a church-based training school of Destiny City Church. The natural setting for ministry training is the local church. It is because of our commitment to church planting and missions that BEREAN SCHOOL OF MINISTRY was started in 1986. We motivate, train and mobilize leaders for the great commission. Hundreds of our graduates are now serving as pastors and leaders in local churches, missionaries in local and foreign mission fields, and influencers and messengers of the
gospel message in the workplaces.
The restrictions due to the COVID19 pandemic led us to start BSM Online in 2021.We are not deviating from our fundamental purpose and philosophy of training as a ministerial school. Using technology and a workable platform, we make adjustments in methodology because of the current situation.
We are excited to start the second schoolyear of BEREAN Online and to tackle the challenges of the virtual setting for teaching and learning. The first few days or even weeks will be challenging both to teachers and students but it could also be fun!
MANAGEMENT PRINCIPLES
Why this course?
While preaching and teaching are the primary spiritual responsibilities of the pastor, there is another side of pastoral leadership that must not be overlooked or underemphasized- the business and management side. Pastors are not managers in a corporate-business-world-publicly-traded-company sort-of-way. But pastors are shepherds. And shepherds manage sheep. The vast majority of pastoral roles include management. Even at the most basic level, churches require management. Who pays the bills? When does the meeting start? Who is responsible for the different functions? Who keeps the records? What is our policy? These are just a few basic managerial questions.
BSM Online is privileged to have a guest teacher with a wide managerial experience. We welcome Mr. Ronald Amigo.

NO OTHER GOSPEL
We are tasked to preach the gospel. It is very important that we preach the true gospel.
Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
Paul warned about the danger of preaching a gospel other than the one they, the apostles preached Galatians 1:6-9 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel—which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one, we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! 9As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!
This course firstly will lead students to look closely into key scriptures that teach the content of the true gospel centered on the Lord Jesus. Secondly, lead them to carefully serious efforts of the New Testament Church to preserve the true gospel, Consequent to this is a study of the arguments Paul presented in his letter to the Galatians in defense of the gospel he preached.
